1.) Improved mobility : You will have greater flexibility and freedom to move as you like through targeted mobilizations and stretches that are catered specifically to you and your problem.
2.). Strength gains: You will have improved strength and control during simple and complex functional tasks by addressing the correct muscle groups. 3.) Decreased Pain and discomfort: With an increase in range of motion and strength, you will have less inflammation of tissues and decreased pain. This decreases the need for long term pain medication use and it's potential side effects. 4.) Have tools to manage symptoms: Physical therapy is unlike chiropractic work or massage therapy, because we encourage active participation in wellness through education. Education of posture, a specific home exercise program catered to you, and information on how to best deal with your condition. 5.) Do what you love to do without restriction: Improving flexibility and strength, as well as decreasing pain and providing intentional education allows for you to return to activities that you love with decreased discomfort and fear.

Thanks for pointing out that physical therapy can provide natural pain relief. My brother has had chronic pain throughout his life. He's tried a few things to help manage it but it still affects his life. Next time I see him I'll definitely ask if he's ever thought of trying physical therapy. I think he would really benefit from it!

Thank you for reading, and commenting. Although it is best to address pain and disfunction when it first starts, physical therapists help people with chronic pain every day by giving them tools to move and feel better.

It is reassuring to know that physical therapy will help shorten your span of taking pain medication because it stops inflammation. My son tore his ACL and he is refusing to go to physical therapy. I think that if he knew all of these benefits, he would be much more likely to go.

I think it would be nice to go to a physical therapist. I would definitely like to be more flexible and to have better mobility, like you said. It's good to know that physical therapists will help me know what types of stretches to do that will help me with my specific problems.

I like what you shared about posture education and home exercise programs being crucial to physical therapy. I would say that visiting a physical therapist is the best way to catalyze your recovery process after an injury or surgery. If I found myself in need, I would visit a physical therapist in my area that could give me the care I require.

My sister's knee is aching, probably due to hiking, which is why we're thinking of bringing her to a physical therapist. My favorite part of this article is you were able to discuss here that this type of therapy will help improve a person's flexibility. Well, you're also right that this will help decrease pain and address any inflammation.

It's interesting that you mention that physical therapy can help improve your mobility. I've had a hard time running ever since I injured my leg last week, so I'm thinking about trying physical therapy. I'm going to look for a good physical therapist in the area to use.

It is good to know that physical therapy can help to give you better flexibility and improved freedom to move around as you'd like. My brother was injured during a basketball game last month and has had a reduced level of mobility since then. I will suggest that he find a reliable physical therapist to see so he can increase his mobility and flexibility.

"Liposuction" is a cosmetic surgical procedure that involves removing excess fat from specific areas of the body. During the procedure, a small incision is made in the skin, and a thin tube called a cannula is inserted through the incision to suction out the fat. Liposuction is commonly used to target areas where stubborn fat deposits have accumulated, such as the abdomen, thighs, hips, and arms. It is important to note that liposuction is not a weight loss procedure and is not intended to treat obesity. Rather, it is typically performed on individuals who are at or near their ideal body weight but are struggling to lose fat from certain areas through diet and exercise alone.
